2 drug couriers nabbed in Daraga, Nabua

LEGAZPI CITY --- Government drug operatives seized on Wednesday morning P680,000 worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) from an alleged illegal drug courier in a drug operation in Daraga town, a Philippine National Police (PNP) report said yesterday.
Jed Lolo, 35, married of Barangay Sagpon, Daraga town was collared by joint elements of PNP Daraga and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Bicol in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Binitayan, Daraga town, according to Police Chief Insp. Maria Luisa Calubaquib PNP Bicol spokesperson.
Seized from the suspect was a plastic sachet containing 100 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P680,000, the report said.
Cotton Talento, PDEA Bicol spokesperson in an interview, said the suspect is in the PDEA watch list as a high-value target (HVT) being considered a drug courier operating in the town of Daraga and this city.
The suspect delivered the illegal drugs to an undercover agent posing as a buyer in front of a barangay hall in Purok 3, Barangay Binitayan, Daraga town at around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, Talento said.
The suspect is detained at PDEA detention facility here.
Earlier, anti-drug operatives seized P340,000 worth of suspected shabu from an alleged drug courier also in Barangay Binitayan, Daraga town.
Arrested was Joseph Sahagun, alias Seph, 33 a native of Barangay Sta Cruz, Nabua, Camarines Sur, Talento said.
The suspect was caught in possession with 50 grams of shabu in two plastic sachets.
