Atty. Papica hosts youth congress, dinner with VP Leni, Ms.Vietnam

NAGA CITY --- Miss Vietnam H’hen Nie who mesmerized the global audience during the recent live coverage of the Miss Universe Beauty Pageant in Bangkok, Thailand will be the guest of honor during a private dinner reception to be hosted by US-based Bicolano lawyer Francis Padua Papica on February 2 at La Piazza Ballroom, Avenue Plaza Hotel here. The Filipiniana-themed dinner event will receive guests and friends of The Francis Padua Papica Foundation, Inc. (FPPFI) that has partnered with the Rotary Club of Naga and the Avenue Plaza Hotel in this year’s conduct of the annual FPPFI Youth Congress. Miss Vietnam, who has been trained by Nagueno modeling tutor Anjo Santos, eventually ended up as 3rd runner up in the Miss Universe pageant. Bicolana candidate Catriona Gray was crowned 2019 Miss Universe, the fourth Filipina to so far win the most coveted beauty title. The following are the list of powerhouse speakers during the youth congress to be held at the Jesse M. Robredo Coliseum: Vice President Leni Robredo, Senators Juan Edgardo Angara, Joseph Victor Ejercito, former Solicitor General Florin Pilo Hilbay, DepEd Regional Director Gilbert Sadsad, 4th Runner-Up Miss Universse 2010 Venus Raj, Award winning actor Franco Laurel, and Judge Ave Alva of Daraga, Albay, Istorya ng Pag-Asa champion. Other speakers are: Basketbal player and TV5 Sports host Vince Hizon, beauty queen and TV host Patricia Bermudez Hizon, student football player Jed Diamante, and TV actor Joseph Anjo Damiles. Arpie Patriarca, founder of the Feed the Hungry Minds and member of Spicy Fingers Band, will serve as master of ceremonies during the start-studied youth congress. Meanwhile, the Francis Padua Papica Foundation announces the prizes to the schools with the highest number of delegates to the 2019 Youth Congress to be held on February 2, as follows: First Prize -- P30,000; Second Prize – P20,000; Third Prize – P10,000. The cash prizes are to be used for school projects.
