BEC introduce to priests on St. John the Evangelist Vicariate

The Basic Ecclesial Community (BEC) is introduced by Fr. Alan Dialogo of the Archdiocese of Manila to the cleric of St. John the Evangelist Vicariate last February 21, 2019 at the Holy Rosary Minor Seminary Auditorium. Fr. Dialogo narrates his struggles in introducing the program and the different difficulties he encountered during his early days of implementation on his parish at St. John of the Cross Parish in Pembo, Makati City.

According to him, “dedication and full attention of the priest is the key to implement this model of pastoral program to get the interest of the people.” Due to his persistence, he was able to win the people and later encourage them to join him in this program that resulted to a very lay empowered parish.

This initiative was conceived by the priests of St. John the Evangelist Vicariates to prepare them for the full implementation of BEC in the archdiocese in the coming years.
