JV Ejercito open to debate with "Otso"

LEGAZPI CITY --- Senator JV Ejercito said on Saturday he would take the challenge of the Otso Diretso for debate once personally invited.

This was his reaction to the issue where the senatorial slate of the administration Hukbong nang Pagbabago failed to attend the opposition challenge debate at the Plaza Miranda in Quiapo Manila.

Ejercito said in a press conference on Saturday evening said: “Personally I cannot speak for my colleagues, lahat nang mga debate pinupuntahan ko, basta puede.”

Ejercito was referring to the debates sponsored by television networks like CNN, GMA, and ABS-CBN. He said he will be attending on Sunday the debate program by the ABS-CBN over DZMM and ANC.

When asked if in case the opposition group “Otso Diretso” invite him for a debate challenge, Ejercito said, “Why not - I have nothing to be afraid of, wala akong tinatago halos nang major debate events pinupuntahan ko.”

Ejercito who is running for re-election for senator arrive here on Saturday to grace a JCI event.
