1 killed, 3 collared in police anti-drug opns
LEGAZPI CITY --- An alleged drug pusher was killed in a shootout with police anti-narcotics operatives while three others were nabbed on Wednesday in separate drug operations in towns of Daet, Camarines Norte, Baao and Pili in Camarines Sur, a police report said
Killed in a shootout with policemen was Socrates Consuelo alias Popoy a government employee assigned at the Labo town Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO)
The report said in a drug buy-bust operation at around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday Consuelo a resident of Daet town resisted arrest and fired his 45 caliber handgun forcing police operatives to retaliate.
Recovered from the victim were three sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth) worth P3,000, 45 caliber pistol, and six bullets.
In Baao town police armed with a search warrant arrested at around 10:45 a.m. Joven Barayoga, 37 at his residence in Barangay Sagrada and his companion Jose Asetrey.
Recovered from the suspect were 14 sachets of shabu worth P50,000 and 38 handgun.
In Pili town, Marvin Marcial was held while selling five sachets of shabu worth P5,000 at around 2:30 p.m. in Barangay San Antonio. Recovered from him was a 38 cal. handgun.
