VIRAC, Catanduanes --- To encourage the youth to be partners with the government in its fight against terrorism and illegal substance abuse, the Catanduanes Police Provincial Office launched the Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) last Saturday.

Col. Paul F. Abay, police provincial director for Catanduanes, said the KKDAT was among the responses of PNP Police Community Relations to EO 66 issued by President Duterte through Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea on October 29, 2018.

EO 66 entitled “Institutionalizing the Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS)” directs all government offices, departments, bureaus, agencies and offices, including government owned or controlled corporations and state universities and colleges to implement the Philippine Anti-illegal drugs strategy and to encourage non-government organizations, civil society organizations, private institutions to actively support the projects and programs under PADS.

The activity was also held in cooperation with the police stations in 11 towns of the province and members of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Catanduanes. (PIA5/Catanduanes)
