More drug pushers fall
LEGAZPI CITY --- Anti-narcotics police seized on Tuesday P400,000 worth of suspected shabu from three alleged drug pushers in separate drug operations in Tabaco City, a police report said.
Col. Nilo Berdin, Tabaco City police chief, said Vicente Canicula of Barangay Cormidal was arrested while selling shabu to a police undercover agent at around 7:15 p.m. last June 4.
Considered by police as a high value target, the suspect when arrested yielded sachets of shabu with street value of P375,000, Berdin said.
Later that evening, at around 11:10 p.m., another police operation rounded up Albert Barbante, 29, and Lanie Permito, of unknown age, both of Barangay Sto Cristo, of the same city.
The two suspects were selling six plastic sachets of shabu worth P3,000.
Earlier on Thursday last week, anti-narcotics operatives seized 60 grams of suspected shabu worth P408,000 from four alleged drug pushers in a drug operation in a coastal village in this city, according to a report by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Arrested were Jing Balaguer, 52, her brother Levis, 27, Dennis Nunez, 26, Nixon Aguilar, 47, all residents of Barangay San Roque this city, according to Cotton Talento, PDEA Bicol spokesperson.
The suspects were selling suspected shabu to an undercover PDEA agent at around 10:45 a.m. of May 29 in Brgy. San Roque.
Barangay San Roque is considered by PDEA as a hot spot for illegal drugs.
