2 more barangays declared drug-free
NAGA CITY--- The Naga City Police Office reported that two more barangays in the city have been declared as drug-free.
Police City Director P/Col. Felix Servita, confirmed that Barangays Dinaga and Sta. Cruz are now cleared of drugs.
Last year, Barangay Bagumbayan Sur was declared drug-free due to the successful anti-illegal drugs operations and campaign through strong collaboration and partnership by the police with the barangay council.
The police chief clarified that drugs-free status are given to areas illegal drugs, its use and trading are controlled or terminated.
Meanwhile, another drug suspect identified as Richard Diaz, 37, was arrested after a buy-bust operation conducted by elements of the City Police Drug Enforcement Unit (CPDEU) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-CamSur last Monday, at about 2:40 in the afternoon at Room 8, Moraville Hotel, in Barangay Mabolo, this city.
Recovered from the suspect were a pack of suspected shabu (metampethamine hydrochloride) worth P13,500 and drug paraphernalia.
