Fr. Echipare installed as 5th NPS Director

NAGA CITY – The Naga Parochial School opened a new chapter in its seventy-two year history, as Rev. Fr. Dario I. Echipare was formally installed as its Fifth Director on June 14, 2019, at the Metropolitan Cathedral, this City.

The Installation coincided with the Mass of the Holy Spirit, an annual Eucharistic Celebration held at the onset of a new School Year to invoke the aid of the Almighty God, through His gifts of the Holy Spirit, to guide the Students, Faculty, Staff, and Administration throughout the academic year. The said Mass was led by Most Rev. Rolando J. Tria Tirona, OCD, DD, Archbishop of Caceres and Chairman of the NPS Board of Trustees, with several priests concelebrating.

Fr. Echipare succeeds Most Rev. Rex Andrew C. Alarcon, D.D., who served as Director of the School from 2008 until his elevation to the Bishopric of the See of Daet in March 2019. His appointment was announced in the Caceres Clergy Assembly in March, and he subsequently received his appointment papers during the Chrism Mass on Holy Thursday, April 18, 2019. At that time, Fr. Echipare served as Parish Priest of the St. Therese of the Child Jesus Parish in Pili, and Director of the Little Therese Parochial School in the same municipality.
