2 killed in stabbing, shooting incident
NAGA CITY --- The suspect in the murder of a construction worker from Buhi, Camarines Sur is now facing a case of homicide case after surrendering himself to the police Wednesday night last week.
Jonal Bolante, 29, a construction worker from Barangay Tambo, Buhi, Camarines Sur allegedly stabbed his fellow Jefferson Narra, 30, of Burokbusok of the same town following a fist fight at around 11:15 p.m. last July 3 in San Francisco Village 2, Bgy. Pacol, this city.
Police investigation revealed that during the fist fight, Bolante fell on the floor and took a sharpened c-purlins (steel used in roofing) and stabbed Narra on the neck. Both suspect and victim were allegedly drunk when the heated argument and the stabbing took place.
Narra was immediately brought to the Bicol Medical Center (BMC) but declared dead on arrival at 11:26 p.m. The suspect surrendered the sharp weapon and is now under the custody of Naga City Police Office of NCPO.
Meanwhile, another construction worker named Rosalito Dela Vega, 36, was shot dead last Sunday afternoon, July 7, at Zone 5, Sitio Langon, Barangay Cararayan, also in this city.
Based on narrative reports received by Bicol Mail, the victim was driving his service motorcycle when he fell to the road after hitting a nylon cord tied to a carabao.
Dela Vega confronted the wife of suspect Eric Valencia, believed to be the owner of the carabao.
Valencia then interfered but after a heated argument between them, the suspect took his improvised shotgun (sumpak) and shot Dela Vega twice.
Dela Vega suffered gunshot wounds on his different parts of his body and head. He was rushed to the Bicol Medical Center (BMC) but declared dead on arrival at 5:33 p.m.
The suspect is now the subject of manhunt operation after he escaped following the shooting incident.
