Young Montessorian reaps Bronze at World Math Invitational in Japan

NAGA City Montessori School is rejoicing for the success of one of its students in the recently concluded World Math Invitational.
Chris Alexander San Luis Espinas, son of Mr. & Mrs. Moises Espinas who hails from Pili, Camarines Sur and a grade 3 student of Naga City Montessori brought pride and honor to the entire NCMS family for winning bronze medal in the said contest held in Fukuoka, Japan from July 15th to 19th, 2019. Xander’s bronze was one of the 184 medals harvested by the Filipino Math Wizards in the said competition.
World Mathematics Invitational is the first international math contest for the young Xander however his math prowess has been proven in several successful feats in previous math competitions. Xander’s innate abilities in numbers and the training and coaching given by his math teachers are essential factors to his successes.
The Filipino delegation, composed of kindergarten to senior high school students, competed against 21 countries in the World and brought home 10 diamond, 38 gold, 44 silver and 57 bronze medals, and furthermore 32 merit prizes after two rounds of a comprehensive written exam.
