Dried marijuana discovered
NAGA CITY---The barangay council of Triangulo in this city surrendered two plastic blocks and 8 sachets of dried marijuana leaves to the Naga City Police Office (NCPO) to trace and identify the suspect who brought the said herbs to the place.
While cleaning his motorcycle, Manuel Macinas, 38, a resident of Daud Apartment in Zone 6, Brgy. Triangulo, discovered the illegal stuff after he noticed and checked the contents of a black pouch bag left on the stairway fronting his room last Sunday morning, July 28.
He and his live-in partner Jazmine Bautista, 49, immediately reported their discovery to the barangay outpost that Barangay Chairman Allan Beriso and Barangay Tanod Mary Rose Delos Reyes later turned over to the police.
Aside from the illegal drugs, police recovered various paraphernalia and small cash amounting to P115.00. The police are now investigating the incident in order to identify the owner/owners of the pouch bag with its content of dried marijuana leavers.
Meanwhile, two drug peddlers were collared after a buy bust operation conducted by the police last Monday, July 29, at about 12:00 noon in Zone 7, Brillante Compound, Brgy. Sabang, this city.
The suspects were identified as Malou Coros, 42, and Errol Paligar, 30.
Operatives recovered two plastic sachets of shabu and the P14,500 cash used for the buy-bust.
The suspects are now under the custody of NCPO, facing criminal cases for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002
