BUSTED. The National Bureau of Investigation Central Visayas (NBI-Cevro) is conducting its own investigation on the on the alleged operation of a sex trafficking group in Cebu, where both the alleged perpetrators and victims are Chinese nationals. NBI-Cevro Regional Director Tomas Enrile (foreground, left) said an entrapment against 4 Chinese nationals led to the rescue of 34 Chinese women in Lapu-Lapu City. “They were recruited from China and were promised a job in a legal gaming operation for a Philippine offshore gaming operator, but they ended up in Cebu as high-class prostitutes,” Enrile said. Silver-haired Enrile is a native of Camarines Sur who once served as NBI Bicol Regional Director before his assignment to Cebu and also previously in other regions, such as Ilocos.
