Cavite reigns in 3rd PKL Bicol Grand Prix
NAGA CITY---The Cavite chapter of the Philippine Karatedo League (PKL) earned most of medals on the second day of Peñafrancia Festival 3rd PKL Bicol Grand Prix, a national open invitational karatedo championship held last September 8, at Robinson’s Place Naga.
The 2-day tournament was organized by PKL Naga Shitokai in cooperation with PKL Bicol Regional Management Committee.
The grand prix started earlier with Kata and Kumite Seminar and Shitoryu Kata Training and Dan Exam which was participated by karate students from various dojos.
Cavite earned 10 gold medals, 7 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals.
PKL-Cavite was top in overall standing, followed by PKL-Sipocot, Camarines Sur which grabbed 7 gold and 5 bronze medals.
PKL-Albay took home the 3rd place with 5 and 8 bronze medals, while PKL-Legazpi Rawis was 5th placer, with 3 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
On fourth place wwas PKL-Omicron Laguna, grabbing 4 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze medals.
