P3.4M worth of shabu busted

NAGA CITY --- Joint anti-drug operatives seized some P3.4M worth of illegal drugs and arrested one of the suspects in a buy-bust operation conducted last Tuesday, Sept. 24, in a resort in Barangay Del Rosario, here.

Arrested was Jonas December Batucan y Bulaong, a.k.a. Jonas, resident of RJ Village, Haring, Canaman, Camarines Sur, reportedly a call center agent.

In a report by Director Christian Frivaldo of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bicol, joint elements of PDEA Camarines Sur, Camarines Sur Provincial Police Office, Naga City Police Office Station 2, the City Mobile Coy, NBI-BRO5 and the Philippine Army’s 93CIP,9MIB, 9ID, at about 2:00 pm last Tuesday swooped down at Spring Valley Resort in Brgy. Del Rosario, this city, after a buy-bust sting that resulted in Jonas’ arrest.

Confiscated during the operation were 500 grams in 4 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic bags containing white crystalline substance suspected as “shabu” with street value of P 3.4M.
