Senior citizens as city execs assume posts

NAGA CITY --- In celebration of the Senior Citizens Month, the city’s elderlies recently elected their counterpart elected officials and named their respective department heads.

For one full month, the senior citizen officials will perform similar duties and functions of their respective counterpart officials while the elected council members will sit side by side with their counterpart city councilors during the regular and special sessions and committee hearings. They will also be accommodated and provided their own desks at the councilor’s individual offices.

They were sworn in during the flag-raising ceremony at the city hall grounds here last Monday. This year’s senior citizen mayor is Mrs. Evangeline T. Quinones of Barangay Tinago.

Her vice mayor is Mrs. Rebecca J. Belles of Barangay San Isidro.

Mrs. Mercy D. Pante of Barangay Concepcion Pequeña has been named as SP Secretary. The following are the city councilors:
