A centenarian woman in Partido to receive incentives

Mrs. Francisca Valencia-Prado, a widow to the late Gaudioso Prado, at Barangay Boclod, San Jose (Partido), Camarines Sur, celebrated her 100th birthday last October 11, 2019.
“May Kikay”, as her friends and and kins fondly called her, was so far in the district likely to receive a cash incentive of almost two hundred thousand pesos (P200,000.00) , courtesy of the national government through the DSWD, LGU-San Jose through Mayor Mac Chavez, House of Representatives through Cong. Arnie Fuentebella and the provincial government through Gov. Migz Villafuerte.

A week before her birthday, May Kikay was invited by the Senior Citizens Federation of San Jose as they celebrated the SC Week, to receive an “award of commendation” for her long life and as the first president of Barangay Association of Senior Citizens (BASCA) in her barangay. Mrs. Delci Dizon- Alarcon, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer of LGU-San Jose also announced that the cash incentive of one hundred thousand pesos (P100,000.00) from the agency will soon be released for they have already forwarded to concerned office/s the required documents.
During the actual natal day, a thanksgiving mass was held at the chapel of the family, presided by Rev. Fr. Ralph Golina, the Parochial Vicar of the Archdiocesan Shrine of Saint Joseph, where he emphasized in his homily that “May Kikay’s life is a gift of God, and it must be shared to others through both her success stories and overwhelmed trials.
Also present during the occasion were Mayor Mac Chavez who personally handed over a check amounting to twenty thousand pesos (P20,000.00) representing the financial assistance from the municipal government, and, Vice Mayor Beyong Panuelos, together with the members of the Sangguniang Bayan also read a “ resolution of commendation and congratulations to May KIkay as a model elderly in the locality ”.
It was later known that Congressman Arnie B. Fuentebella likewise awarded to May KIkay a cash incentive in the amount of fifty thousand pesos (P50,000.00).
