FIRST MASS IN LUZON WAS HELD IN SORSOGON. 450 years ago, year 1569, the first mass in Luzon was held in our hometown Gibalon, Sioton, Magallanes, Sorsogon. Yesterday, Oct 19, a mass was held on the spot where the first mass was held to commemorate its 450th year with presence of no less than the Apostolic Nuncio, his Grace, Archbishop Gabrille Giordano Gaccia and Spain’s Ambassador the Philippines, Jorge Moragas Sanchez, together with the bishop of Sorsogon, parish priests from each parish church of Sorsogon and people of Magallanes, government officials.
