HALLOWEEN KILLING: Teacher found dead with stab wounds
LEGAZPI CITY --- A public school teacher at the Catanduanes National High School was found lifeless yesterday afternoon with multiple stabbed wounds in various part of his body.
The cadaver of 28-year-old Donn Carlos B. Bagadiong, 28, a resident of Barangay Valencia in Virac town, here, was found by police authorities lying on the floor inside his bedroom at 4:00 PM on November 2, this year.
Initial investigation said that the victim suffered multiple hack wounds in different parts of his body resulting in his sudden death. Found in the crime scene was a blood-stained butcher’s knife.
Police report said Bagadiong worked as event host who was supposed to be hosting an event in the evening of November 2. The gory killing was discovered by his sister who came home from attending “Undas.”
The police remain facing the blank wall as to the establishment of the suspect’s identity.
The bloody killing alarmed the people of Virac who cannot fathom the reason why the public school teacher was killed despite his being well loved by the people.
The local government of Virac condemned the killing of Bagadiong and asked the police to expedite the investigation and resolution of the case while the provincial government also called on the possible witnesses to cooperate in the investigation that would help to compel the perpetrator to surface to resolve the gruesome murder of the victim whose sex organ was reportedly cut.
The provincial government of Catanduanes offered P100,000 cash rewards for the immediate arrest of the suspect.
Police Col. Paul F. Abay, provincial director of Catanduanes said that the provincial government of Catanduanes through Acting Governor Shirley A. Abundo is allotting P100,000 cash reward to any individual or person who can give information that will lead to the identification and arrest of the perpetrator.
