CamNorte PACPTD spearheads 2nd Advisory Council Summit

DAET, Camarines Norte --- The Provincial Advisory Council for Police Transformation and Development (PACPTD) of Camarines Norte has conducted the 2nd Advisory Council Summit with the theme “Achieving Greater Heights, Together” held on October 26, this year, here.

The activity was participated in by more or less 120 officials and members of the Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) of all the 12 towns of Camarines Norte along with the 1st and 2nd Police Mobile Force Company Advisory Councils.

Retired Judge Arnulfo B. Cabredo, chairperson of the Regional Advisory Council for Police Transformation and Development (RACPTD), graced the event and talked about the resiliency of the Filipino as a nation and their faith in the Almighty as their greatest tool for nation building.

He also encouraged the councils to share in uplifting the lives of the Filipino community.

Meanwhile, Provincial Director PCol. Marlon C. Tejada of the Camarines Norte Police Provincial Office (CNPPO) said that the advisory councils serve as their internal stakeholders with the direct participation as an adviser, for them to be more effective and efficient public servants and law enforcers.

He said cited that the PACPTD which meet once every two months also conducts meeting with the MACs in every town.

Tejada also commended PACPTD for their accomplishments. Among these were: contest on Best Municipal Police Station, Best Police Officer and Best Non-Commission Officer; donation of CCTVs in 2 municipal police stations and CNPPO; purchase of office equipment; conduct of moral recovery program and fun run, passage of resolutions, and others.

On the other hand, PACPTD Chairperson Retired PBGen. Efren O. Yebra said that the provincial council will also lead the institutionalization of the advisory councils in every town for sustainability.

He also thanked all the participants for their cooperation that led to the success of the gathering.

During the summit, three MACs were awarded as top 3 in their accomplishments in the implementation of their programs and projects. These are the municipal advisory councils of Vinzons, Daet and Sta. Elena.

A lecture on the basics of parliamentary procedure was discussed by JCI Sen. Daryl G. Gumabao, RTD, Region V and on financial literacy Celena San Miguel, Executive Vice-Chairperson of International Marketing Group (IMG) Executive Vice Chairman.

The CNPPO Police Bantayog Band provided songs and entertainment during the activity.

Other guests who graced the event were Labo Municipal Administrator Jojo Francisco representing Mayor Joseph Ascutia and Robin Mercado in behalf of Cong. Josefina B. Tallado of 1st District.
