Medical and dental mission reached remote areas in CamSur
As part of the Barangayan 2019: Talakayan at Serbisyo Caravan, a medical and dental mission was held in far flung barangays in the municipalities of Pasacao and Lupi in Camarines Sur last November 20-23, 2019. A total of 515 residents benefitted from the free medical and dental services conducted by various national agencies together with the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur and the Municipal Government of Pasacao.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Tourism (DOT), and Philippine Army helped conduct the medical and dental mission.
Moreover, the Provincial Health Office of the provincial government did not only conduct free medical checkups, dental checkups, and tooth extractions but also provided free medicines and vitamins to the people.
“Dakula an pasasalamat asin kaogmahan ko ta igwang nakaabot na arog kaining tabang digdi sa barangay mi. Gurang na ako, asin harayo ining barangay mi sa sentro. Dakulang tabang na may nakaabot na libreng checkup asin bulong hale sa gobyerno,” shared 84 year-old Bernardita Dela Torre, a beneficiary from barangay Hobo, Pasacao.
“Nagpa-schedule na kuta akosa Naga na mag pagabot kaning duwa kong ngipon, pero naoogma ako ta ngunyan, dae ko na kaipuhan magbyahe mantang may nag abot na arog kaining serbisyo sa barangay mi. Masasabi ko talagang nakakatabang ini, huli ta yaon pa kami sa upland area. An iba samo, dae naman nagkakaigwa nin oras para magdayo pa saharayong lugar tapos mapapamahal pa sa gastuson. Kaya dakula an pasasalamat mi sa libreng serbisyong medical asin dental na ini,” shared Gina Borjal of barangay Bagong Silang, Pasacao,
The provincial government is taking an extra mile to bring free medical and dental services in far flung areas in Camarines Sur, as part of its priority to provide an accessible health care to all.
MEDICAL-DENTAL MISSION RESUMED. The Provincial Health Office under the leadership of Camarines Sur Gov.
