Seminar on Liturgical Music A Success
NAGA CITY - More than 350 liturgical music ministers coming from different parishes, schools, and institutions within the Archdiocese of Caceres and the Dioceses of Sorsogon and Virac attended the “Seminar on Music in the Liturgy during Advent and Christmas” which was organized by the Archdiocesan Commission on Liturgical Music (ComLitMus), on November 23, this year, at the Good Shepherd Chapel, Holy Rosary Major Seminary.
The said event began with the registration at 7:00 o’clock in the morning and followed by a Eucharistic Celebration presided by Rev. Fr. Xavier R. Amoroso, the Director of ComLitMus.
After the Mass followed two plenary talks on “Music in the Liturgy during Advent” and “Music in the Liturgy during Christmas” given by Rev. Fr. Jed Anthony Peña, Formator of the Holy Rosary Minor Seminary, and Rev. Fr. Rolando Canonce, Parish Priest of St Therese Parish, Pili, CamSur, respectively.
The said event ended with some liturgical notes from Fr. Amoroso and the singing of the “Himno a Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia.”
