Pres. Duterte visiting Bicol to assess typhoon damages
LEGAZPI CITY ---- Pres. Rodrigo Duterte was expected to arrive here on Thursday, Dec. 5 to see for himself and assess the extent of damages wrought by Typhoon ‘Tisoy’ when it battered Bicol region on Monday.
Preparations are being finalized as to the agenda to be presented and discussed during the joint National and Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Management Councils meeting to be presided by the chief executive, Claudio Yucot, regional director of Office of Civil Defense (OCD) announced during the RDRRMC meeting here on Dec. 4.
The president, upon arrival in Legazpi Airport would see for himself the extent of damages caused by the typhoon on the airport Passenger Terminal Building and immediately proceed to the Legazpi City Convention Center for the meeting.
The president would be accompanied by NDRRMC officials, NIA Administrator Ricardo Visaya and other national government officials, the report said.
