Police looking for Tsinoy trader who shot brother

TINAMBAC, Camarines Sur --- A Filipino-Chinese businessman from Barangay Sogod here is wanted by police authorities for allegedly shooting his younger brother on Sunday, Dec. 8.

The suspect was identified by the Tinambac Municipal Police Station (MPS) as Andres Lim, 62, who had an argument with his brother Hilario Lim, 60, a farmer, also of the same barangay.

Tinambac MPS chief Major Gary Mangente told Bicol Mail that at around 6:30 am, at the Lim’s grapes plantation, the suspect shot the victim with a handgun after a heated argument, wounding the latter in the process.

Mangente said that after the shooting incident, the suspect hurriedly escaped and could not be located as of this writing.

The police believed that the argument between the two is due to a land dispute within their family.

The police chief said that the suspect would face an attempted murder case. The victim is now in a stable condition, he added.
