PIA CamSur Chief is among Outstanding Alumni awardees
NAGA CITY --- Philippine Information Agency (PIA)-Camarines Sur head, Ana-Liza S. Macatangay was one of the recipients of the 2019 Outstanding Alumni Awards given by SCLS-SLMSP-USI-Pili Campus Alumni Association, Dec. 29 at the Capitol Convention Center, Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur.
The award is in recognition of her exemplary contribution in the field of public service that brought honor and pride to her alma mater, then St. Catherine Laboure’ School, now SCLS-SLMSP-USI-Pili Campus.
SCLS-SLMSP-USI-Pili Campus Alumni Association Vice-President Dr. Claribelle C. Haber expounded that the awards are also a celebration of the many achievements of the school’s alumni/ graduates, both professionally and personally, for their outstanding contribution in their respective chosen careers, its impact in the community and for the advancement of society.
The awardee has been in the government service for almost 16 years and almost 10 years of experience as private media where she has reaped numerous local and national awards in recognition of her exemplary performance in delivering the mandate given to her as government servant.
Prior to her employment in the government, she has been in the private mainstream media where she has also brought numerous recognitions to her company and commendations for her dedication and passion to effectively deliver the task at hand, more so, empowering the community through information dissemination and community service.
She has been invited to participate in international media communications seminar and has served as a panelist and speaker in various communication activities in Singapore in recognition of the valuable knowledge and expertise that she has imparted to the local media.
The various awards initiated and given by her mother agency, the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) is also a testimony of how her dedication, passion and achievement was recognized in furthering the mandate of serving as the information arm of the government.
Her achievements are a recognition of how effectively she was able to perform her task, particularly in enriching the media profession by showing the core values that she have learned from her secondary years at St. Catherine Laboure’ School then.
More so, these recognitions also showcased her strong leadership while keeping her much valued integrity and has created innovations in the way information are delivered to its target clients and end users the report said. (JRMadrid-PIAV/Camarines Sur)
