This year, the local chapter embarks on another year of advancing JCI movement highlighting its greater purpose towards members’ personal growth and holistic development as it envisions to be purposefully better.

Last Jan. 31, 2020, JCI Naga held its 65th induction and turnover ceremonies at the Avenue Plaza Convention Center along Magsaysay Avenue in Naga City with some 180 young professionals and achievers from South Luzon in attendance.

The annual gathering was one of the most awaited highlights of a One-Year-To-Lead journey not only for the members of the 2020 Board of Directors but as well as for chapter members in galvanizing positive change and providing developmental opportunities particularly in empowering everyone to be a catalyst of change.

This year’s Board of Directors is headed by the 65th JCI Naga President Gene Ryan A. Altea, who is an engineer by profession and serving the local organization for more than three years.

Under his leadership, he hoped that he will be able to maximize opportunities towards the integral development of every member.

Outgoing JCI Naga President Ron Jose Bascuña handed the gavel and medallion to his successor as part of the turnover ceremony.

During his valedictory speech, he highlighted his major accomplishments especially the successful hosting of 71st JCI Philippines National Convention on Oct. 10 – 12, 2019 in Naga City and more than 100% membership growth of the local organization.

During the same occasion, baby jaycees were inducted as new members. They belong ed from diversed backgrounds and different professions. They signified their commitment to the local organization to be molded as a future leader, and to be part of the elite pool of trainers.

The newly inducted regular members will undergo membership efficiency and active leadership (MEAL) program that will capacitate them to be active citizens and future leaders of the community.

With this year’s theme “Vision 2020: Mold and Motivate” by the 72nd JCI Philippines National President Mark Joseph David, JCI Naga is ready to set the bar higher and even better as it envisions to mold and motivate more leaders in the organization.
