NAGA CITY -- Engr. Alexander Gaite has taken his oath as the new president of one of the most prolific chambers in the country, the Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. or CSCCI, vowing among others, to further the business interest of its members and continue the success that the past administrations have accomplished.

“With great joy, excitement, and hope, I signify tonight, the beginning of venturing the trails of becoming the president of CSCCI. I will continue the success that the past administrations have done. It will take a collaborative effort to achieve this. But I have strong confidence in our organization,” Gaite said during the oath taking ceremony and induction of the new set of officers at the Villa Gaite, La Medalla, Baao over the weekend.

CSCCI Inc. was recently adjudged by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) as the Most Outstanding Chamber Awardee (MOCA), South Luzon- Provincial Level 1 2019.

In 1995, it was awarded as the Most Outstanding Young Chamber and as one of the finalists of the Most Outstanding Chamber in 1994.

One of the chamber’s milestones was the Camarines Sur Business Expo, with the tagline “The biggest just got better” under the dynamic leadership of CSCCI’s immediate past president, Hoover Picar.

The Business Expo provided an avenue for perfect business interaction and matching thru the exhibits, trade fairs, seminars and workshops suitably designed for various audiences and business enthusiasts.

It opened a lot of opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs, producers, budding and promising businessmen and service providers, and even attracted national and international manufacturers.

Part of the “biggest event” were the: 2nd Cam Sur Construct with highlights on infrastructure; 1st Cam Sur Techno Fair showcasing innovations in technology; and the 2nd Bicol Agri Summit attended by no less than Sen. Cynthia Villar, chairperson of the Senate committee on agriculture,

2019 CSCCI President Hoover Picar received CSCCI’s award as Most Outstanding Chamber in South Luzon.

Picar also lauded the generous support of Camarines Sur Governor Miguel “Migz” Villafuerte in the realization of the vision of the chamber.

Recognizing the vital role of the youth, Picar also spearheaded the: 6th Regional Youth Entrepreneurship Congress; the 2nd CamSur Gamefowl Expo; and the 3rd Food and Beverage Expo, which all earned positive praises from the business community.

Gaite for his part has no words but gratitude and commitment to make the chamber as dynamic as possible. “Let us expand our commitment to the CSCCI. Let us work hard to secure and advance the social and economic well-being of our community. Let us work hard to efficiently and effectively provide a voice for the business sector of the province of Camarines Sur. To my fellow members, I will only ask for one thing from all of you. Please support me as I begin the trails of becoming the new president of the CSCCI,” Gaite said.
