Ragay TESDA Polytechnic Skills Institute leads groundbreaking of new building


GROUND BREAKING. The P10M worth of Automotive and Welding edifice of TESDA Ragay Polytechnic Skills Institute (RPSI) has finally held its ground breaking rite on February 21 at Brgy. Agrupacion, Ragay, Camarines Sur. This paved the way to take access to technical and vocational trainings in automotive and welding technology. RAGAY, Camarines Sur --- TESDA Ragay Polytechnic Skills Institute (RPSI) ground break P10M worth of new building on February 21 purposely to cater skills training and certification in Automotive Servicing NC I and II and Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC I and II.

RPSI Administrator Rosalyn T. Perida told the Bicol Mail that the P10M budget allocation was derived from the 2019 capital outlay. The new training hub will be equipped with restructured and updated tools and equipment ensuring that the trainees will pass the National Certificate I and II competency assessment and certification.

Perida added that automotive and welding courses are well-thought-out as globally sought-after and highly employable courses, thus giving chances for the community to avail the in demand training programs.

The new buildings were strategically located at Brgy. Agrupacion, Ragay, Camarines Sur alongside the Andaya Highway. The site is accessible for trainees coming from the adjoining municipalities of Lupi, Sipocot, Del Gallego, and other nearby municipalities of Camarines Sur and Quezon Province.

The ground breaking ceremony was graced by Cong. Marissa M. Andaya together with Ragay Municipal Mayor Thaddy A. Ramos, TESDA Regional Director Toni June A. Tamayo, TESDA Provincial Director Alejandro R. Cortez, former Congressman Rolando R. Andaya Jr, SB members of LGU Ragay and Del Gallego, and other stakeholders and guests.

Meanwhile, on the same event the new Housekeeping NC II workshop and the two newly purchased vehicles were also inaugurated.

RPSI is the newest TESDA Administered School in the province by virtue of RA 11098 and become operational on August 2019. Aside from Automotive and Welding courses, it also offers scholarships in Driving NC II, Electronics Products Assembly and Servicing NC II, Computer Systems Servicing NC II, Food and Beverage Services NC II, Cookery NC II, Bread and Pastry Production NC II and Produce Organic Vegetables and Raise Organic Chicken.
