For tax collection efficiency: Catanduanes town receives award

VIRAC, Catanduanes - The municipal government of San Andres has received a plaque of achievement from the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) regional office for its efficiency in local tax collection.

Stella N. Chua, municipal treasurer, received the award during the 1st Quarter Regional Conference-Seminar of Bicol Association of Assessment and Treasury, Inc. (BAATI) held at Villa Caceres, Naga City on Feb. 26, 2020.

The award recognized the San Andres local government units (LGU) collection efficiency of 563.01 percent in fees and charges, ranked as Top 1, and 363 percent collection efficiency, ranked as Top 2, among all LGUs or municipalities in the Bicol region based on the 2018 BLGF Performance Target for Local Revenues.

BAATI grants awards to deserving LGUs to continuously inspire the municipal government through the Municipal Treasury Office to sustain its revenue generation efforts towards better local governance and efficient public service. (PIA5/Catanduanes)
