SSS briefs mayors on its programs, benefits

NAGA CITY ---The Social Security System (SSS) participated as one of the panelists during the Constitutional Reform (CoRe) Provincial Roadshow sponsored by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) held on recently at the University of Nueva Caceres (UNC) Sports Palace here.

Over 1,000 local chief executives (LCE) mostly city and municipal mayors, punong barangays and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairpersons attended the CoRe Talk hosted by the DILG Provincial Operations Office as part of its advocacy to inform and educate the public on the advantages of constitutional reforms.

The SSS also set-up an information booth to provide services like on-line verification of contributions, issuance and distribution of forms and information materials, and attending to queries and complaints from the participants.

Other government agencies present during the event were the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), among others.
