3 farmers wounded in hacking incidents
NAGA CITY --- Despite the strict implementation of the enhanced community quarantine measures in most places in the country by police and local authorities, two separate hacking incidents happened in Libmanan and Goa towns in Camarines Sur, wounding three farmers in the process.
The farmers were identified as Domingo Fresco, 49, of Pag-Oring Nuevo in Libmanan, Honorato Nerves, 46, and Arnulfo Bien, 50, both of Napawon in Goa.
Fresco, on Apr. 8 at about 5:00 PM, within the vicinity of barangay Pag-Oring Nuevo, was reportedly drunk and confronted the suspect Senando Sevilla, 50, which lead to an argument and the hacking incident.
Senior Master Sgt. Emy Rose Organis, Libmanan police station spokesperson said that an old grudge between the two caused the heated argument started by the victim. Sevilla, hacked the victim with a bolo.The suspect was arrested and brought to the police station.
Organis said the victim suffered hack wounds in the body and rushed to Libmanan District Hospital for treatment.
On the day, at about 5:30 PM, in Napawon, Goa, Camarines Sur, Nerves and the suspect Arnulfo Bien, 50 slashed each other with bladed weapons in a rice field.
Police authorities said the latter, while tending to his ducks had a heated arguments with the former, which led to the fight.
Nerves was wounded in the head by Bien, while the latter was wounded in the chest by Nerves. Both were rushed in the Goa Municipal Infirmary for medical attention.
Meanwhile, police authorities in Tigaon, Camarines Sur are looking for two robbers who victimized a dried goods vendor on Black Saturday, Apr. 11.
The suspects were reportedly wearing bonnets when they forcibly took the wallet and other valuables of the victim, Andres Brutas Jr., 34, who was driving a motorcycle on his way to the town proper.
One of the suspects was wearing a camouflaged uniform, carrying an improvised shotgun “sumpak” while the other one in red shirt had a pistol.
In an interview, Police Maj. Nicel B. Compañero, Tigaon police chief said that the robbery case is under further investigation.
