CamSur guv issues GCQ guidelines

PILI, Camarines Sur --- Camarines Sur Gov. Miguel Luis Villafuerte issued Executive Order (EO) No. 06, series of 2020, which provided the guidelines to ensure smooth transition of the province from enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) to general community quarantine (GCQ).

Villafuerte signed the EO a day before the implementation of GCQ in the entire province pursuant to the announcement of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID). The IATF listed Camarines Sur as one of those provinces, which will be under the GCQ with a classification “moderate-risk” area.

To safeguard the health of residents, he said that necessary provisions shall be in place, which will govern the entry and exit of individuals, vehicles and other movements in the province to prevent the spread of the virus.

Section 1 of the EO listed authorized persons outside of residence (APOR), who shall be granted passage or entry and exit at the province’s borders and checkpoints.

APOR include: workers of establishments allowed to open or operate, provided that they must always bring with them their company ID’s or certificate of employment.

The provincial government will also ensure strict compliance of non-APOR to stay at home and cooperate with the government’s effort in protecting its citizens from the dreaded virus.

These include persons who are immuno-compromised or have health issues, senior citizens, any person whose age range below 21 years old and above 59 years old, and pregnant women, among others.
