Naga revokes home quarantine for LSIs
The spike in coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Naga City due to the influx of Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) from the National Capital Region (NCR) has prompted the city’s Health Emergency Response Task Force (HERTF) to change its rules on minimum health standards.
Naga City Mayor Nelson Legacion on Sunday, June 28, issued a directive which no longer allow arriving LSIs from areas with confirmed cases to undergo home quarantine.
Instead, arriving LSIs would go straight to the city controlled isolation facility and on their seventh day of their stay, they would be subjected to rapid antibody test or oral swab test.
While those LSIs who lack necessary documents and fail to make prior coordination with the IMT will be extracted from their homes and be brought to the city isolation facility together with their household members.
The Department of Health (DOH) in Bicol reported that of the seven new Covid-19 cases recorded on Sunday, June 28, all of them are from Naga City.
