PDEA nabs 7 drug suspects in Albay
LEGAZPI CITY --- Seven alleged drug suspects were nabbed in a simultaneous drug sting by anti-narcotics agents on Monday, July 13 in Tabaco City, a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) report said.
Cotton Talento, PDEA Bicol spokesperson said the simultaneous drug stings in Barangay Sto. Cristo.
Tabaco City yielded over 90 grams of suspected shabu (crystal meth) worth over P600,000.
PDEA and police operatives armed with search warrants carried out simultaneous raids in Barangay Sto. Cristo, where George Binco of Purok 6, a drug den operator was nabbed at around 4:55 PM.
During the raid, four other drug suspects were caught having a drug session. They were identified as Vincent Bata, Federico Balista, Danilo Luna, and Norberto Bermas.
Recovered from Binco were eleven (11) shabu sachets weighing 50 grams worth P340,000.
In another raid, PDEA and police operatives implementing a search warrant at around 5:32 PM in the same village have arrested Joseph Barcenas, who yielded nine sachets of shabu weighing 20 grams worth P136,000.
While another group of police operatives serving a search warrant has arrested Lanie Fernandez, who also yielded 20 grams of shabu with street value of P136,000.
All arrested suspects have been charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act or RA 9165.
