BOC Legazpi starts customer care center

The Port of Legazpi’s Customer Care Center (CCC) of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) has started its operation on Thursday, July 16 as part of the bureau’s 10-point priority program and its commitment to streamline transactions.

The CCC’s opening happened after the recent inauguration of the port's new Customs house.

The Port of Legazpi’s CCC serves as a One-Stop-Shop for all Customs related transactions. It is manned by four personnel assigned to provide information for all queries; receive documents for evaluation; release of the same after the appropriate action from the concerned offices; and receive cash payments.

The CCC consisted of four areas: Pass Control Area; Information Desk; Document Evaluation Desk; and Cashier.

The assigned CCC personnel will undergo training within the month of July to be well-equipped with the needed skills and expertise for efficient customer service.

According to District Collector Arsenia C. Ilagan, the CCC is meant to simplify and make all services provided by the bureau accessible in one place. Through CCC, concerns and inquiries would be addressed either through online or physical follow-up.

Ilagan said that the CCC will prevent unauthorized entry in port premises, prevent corruption due to minimal face-to-face transactions, and more importantly, help stop the transmission of Covid-19.
