Archdiocese holds 3-in-1 event in Partido

SAN JOSE, Camarines Sur --- The Archdiocese of Caceres, through the Bishop Rolando J. Tria Tirona, OCD, DD, has conducted three simultaneous important events that coincided with a eucharistic celebration of the Holy Spirit here.

These events were: the formal opening of the Formation Year 2020-2021 for seminarians in the Holy Major Seminary and Minor Seminary, both in Naga City, and the Preparatory Seminary here; the re-opening of the pre-college seminary that was closed for almost four years; and the formal installation of its new rector, Rev. Fr. Jay Jose L. Jacinto.

During the mass, the appointments of all school officials, deans, faculty members and staffs were announced. It was followed by the oaths taking of the heads of the seminaries.

Bishop Tirona, in his homily, stressed the significance and relation of the occasion to the gospel which is all about a committed and authentic discipleship.

He also congratulated the municipality of San Jose led by Mayor Marco P. Chavez and Fr. Joseph Wilfred V. Almoneda, parish priest of San Jose, for having two formation schools, the newly created “ Instituto de Caceres- San Jose” and recently the re-opened pre-college seminary.

After the mass, the bishop led the blessing and inauguration of the newly refurbished Pre-College Seminary Building, the former and century-old convent of the parish and a heritage pride of the town.
