8 wanted persons arrested by police

LEGAZPI CITY --- Eight wanted persons facing various criminal complaints were nabbed on Tuesday, Sept. 1, by police operatives in separate raids in Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Sorsogon, and Masbate, a regional police official said.

Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Police Regional Office 5 spokesperson, said these wanted persons are facing charges for crimes ranging from carnapping, illegal recruitment, rape, acts of lasciviousness, illegal possession of firearms, and frustrated murder.

In Baao, Camarines Sur, Ryan Odavar, 30 of Barangay Sagrada, No. 8 on the town’s wanted list, who is facing carnapping charges, was arrested at his house at around 11:30 AM.

In San Jose town, Juliet Tuyay, 34 of Barangay San Antonio, No. 10 on the town wanted list, was arrested at around 10:25 AM. She is accused of illegal recruitment with P120,000 bail recommended.

In Goa town, police served a warrant of arrest to Rafael Opinion, aka Ryan Melgarejo, 23 of Barangay Tinawagan, Tigaon town presently residing in Barangay Napawon, Goa. The suspect, No. 2 in the town wanted list, was arrested in Barangay San Juan Bautista at around 8:40 AM. He is facing rape charges with no bail recommended.

In Calabanga, Bartolome Briones, 46 of Barangay Bonot-Sta Rosa was arrested by police at his residence at around 5:30 AM. The suspect, No. 3 in the town wanted list, is accused of three counts of Acts of Lascivious with a P180,000 bail recommended.

In Canaman, Froilan De Leon Jr., 37 of Barangay San Ramon was arrested by police in Barangay San Vicente, at around 2:00 PM. No. 7 in the town wanted list, the suspect is accused of illegal possession of firearms with P120,000 bail recommended.

Meanwhile, in Bacon, Sorsogon City, Crisanto Villacurta Payo, 20 of Barangay Bogna, was arrested at his residence at around 7:45 AM. He is No. 9 in the city’s wanted list. He is facing frustrated murder with P200,000 bail recommended.

In Aroroy, Masbate, police nabbed Jerry Itang, 18 of barangay Panique, at around 5:45 AM. He is facing charges for rape with no bail recommended.

All the arrested wanted individuals are under police custody in their respective towns.
