NAGA CITY --- The local government unit here has opened a new office that is mandated to gather, keep, and analyze data and information relative to the city government’s drive against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Blessed and inaugurated on Monday, Sept. 28, the Naga City Contact Tracing and Monitoring Center has its own analytics section, which is headed by Wilfredo Prilles Jr., who is also the chief of the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO).

The analytics group is manned by personnel who studied epidemiological data interpretation and analysis at the Ateneo de Manila University.

The facility operates 24/7 and also houses the eSalvar Contact Tracing Operations Center, which is tasked to receive and answer all queries and provide the public all information regarding the contact tracing application that will be fully implemented starting Oct. 18, this year.

Another component of the facility is the Central Communication Center (COMCEN), the city government’s emergency call center, which now operates jointly with the COVID-19 Call Center.
