3 killed in drug buy bust

Three suspected drug pushers were killed while 350 grams of shabu worth P1.7-million and three guns were recovered in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Busac, Oas, Albay on July 20, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bicol reported recently.


Killed were Ramon Mutuc alias Omar, 44, reportedly a member of the Bahala Na Gang; Jose Maria Arvin Bautista,28; and, Gregorio Garcia Jr.,42, a mechanic. All of them were from Valenzuela City.


PDEA said the suspects drew their guns when they sensed that it was a drug buy-bust operation with undercover PDEA and police operatives.


The operatives shot back and hit the suspects in different parts of their bodies.


The suspects were brought to the nearby Josefina Belmonte Duran Albay Provincial Hospital but were declared dead on arrival by the attending physicians.


Recovered in the possession of the suspects were 350 grams of shabu with estimated street value of P1.7-million; a calibre 45 pistol, and two calibre 38.


Another worth P1.7-million suspected shabu was confiscated in another buy-bust operation in Barangay Bigaa, Legazpi City that same day.


The suspect was identified as Ronan Alagaban, 26, of Bigaa, Legazpi City.
