320 health workers in CamNorte get vax jab

THE Covid-19 vaccination roll out has already started in Camarines Norte with 320 Health Care Workers (HCW) inoculated as of Friday, Mar. 19, the Department of Health (DOH) Bicol said. The Camarines Norte Provincial Hospital (CNPH) and Leon D. Hernandez Memorial Hospital (LHMH) have vaccinated 200 and 120 health care workers, respectively, since Mar. 17 following the arrival of Astra Zeneca vaccines in the province.

Camarines Norte Provincial Health Officer Dr. Arnel Francisco of CNPH and Dr. Ronaldo de Jesus of LHMH were the first ones inoculated at their respective hospitals.


De Jesus was a Covid-19 survivor and he cited the importance of vaccination and encouraged everyone to submit for inoculation.


A total of 603 for CNPH and 195 for LHMH in Camarines Norte are targeted to be vaccinated.


The first batch of Covid-19 Astra Zeneca vaccines totaling to 283 vials, equivalent to 2,830 doses arrived on Mar. 16 at CNPH.


More than 1,400 HCWs in public and private hospitals in the province will be vaccinated according to Dr. Monrey Isaiah Mancilla, vice chairman of the RVOC Planning Campaign Management and Technical Team/Camarines Norte.
