4 Catanduanes towns receive awards from NADAC for their fight vs drugs

VIRAC, Catanduanes---The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) named four municipalities in Catanduanes as among the 2022 National Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance Awardees (Nadacpea).
DILG Secretary Benjamin C. Abalos, Jr. graced the Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) regional awarding ceremony which coincides with the launching of “Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Iwasan (BIDA)” program at Camp Simeon Ola, Legazpi City, on January 27, 2023.
Awardees were the towns of San Andres headed by Mayor Leo Z. Mendoza; Caramoran headed by Mayor Glenda V. Aguilar; Pandan headed by Mayor Raul E. Tabirara; and Baras headed by Mayor Jose Paolo P. Teves III.
The Nadacpea is in recognition of the municipal governments’ contribution and exemplary performance in the implementation of anti-illegal drug programs, projects, and activities of the national government where the four (4) awardee LGUs attained 100% functionality points during the 2021 Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance Audit.
Receiving the awards were the local chief executives and representatives of the four municipalities. (PIA5/Catanduanes)
