By Paulo DS. Papa

THE Tinambac Vaccination Operation Center has recorded 578 residents already inoculated with the first dose using available Covid-19 vaccines delivered by the Department of Health (DOH).

The municipal government prepared vaccination site in Tinambac Central School I last month. The vax drive in the town began as the DOH approved the operation of the facility.

Out of the total of 578 vaccinees, 406 were frontline health workers who received the first dosage of Sinovac vaccine, while 24 senior citizens have been inoculated using the same brand. The first shot of AztraZeneca vaccines were injected on 15 frontline health workers from the town, 54 senior citizen, two with comorbidities and two frontliners in essential sector.

Meanwhile, Vice Mayor Belle Prades in an interview told Bicol Mail that the municipal government has yet to procure vaccines for most of the town’s population because the stock of Covid-19 vaccines remains sufficient.

As of this writing, Tinambac has 60 confirmed cases of Covid-19, including 13 active cases, 41 recoveries, and 6 fatalities.
