625 residents of Calabanga benefit from AKB Caravan

The Ako Bicol Party List conducted on September 22, this year, a highly successful Tarabangan Caravan in Calabanga, Camarines Sur, offering an array of essential services to the local community. This initiative, which garnered immense support from various sectors, made a significant impact on the health and livelihood of residents.

In close collaboration with the local government of Calabanga, under the leadership of Mayor Eugene Norman B. Severo, and in partnership with allied organizations and dedicated volunteers, the program extended a helping hand to those in need.

A total of 625 residents received vital medical services, with 35 benefiting from dental treatments. Additionally, various specialized services like 2D echo, blood extraction, X-ray, and ECG were made available.

Recognizing the importance of employment, the caravan also organized a local recruitment activity, providing job seekers with opportunities. Residents were further pampered with free massages, haircuts, and nail and beauty care services. To add to the community spirit, film screenings and games were arranged for people of all ages.

The Ako Bicol PartyList expresses heartfelt gratitude to its invaluable partners who played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the caravan. Key supporters included Tanchuling General Hospital Inc., the Department of Health, Coast Guard District Bicol, the Philippine Navy - Naval Station Julhasan Arasain, Naval Forces Southern Luzon, and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), among others.

Notable contributions from companies such as Gardenia Bakeries Philippines, Clean the World, Children International, Beybiko, Alibaba, TESDA, Freeda Napkin, Don Frank Gulaman Powder, Alladin, and Potencee enriched the event.

Special recognition is also extended to the dedicated volunteers from Barangay Health Workers, who served with unwavering dedication, offering their services with passion and kindness.

This caravan is a flagship initiative of the Ako Bicol PartyList under “Tabang sa Karahayan,” aiming to provide assistance to Filipinos who face challenges in accessing medical professionals. The continued support and active involvement of Ako Bicol Congressmen Zaldy Co and Jil Bongalon in future projects are eagerly anticipated.

The Ako Bicol PartyList firmly believes that through such programs, more citizens will gain access to proper health services and job opportunities. The commitment to assisting and serving those in need remains at the core of Ako Bicol PartyList’s mission.
