87% of Bicol cops already vaxxed

Eight out of 10 policemen in Bicol have received their Covid-19 jabs, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.
BGen. Jonnel Estomo, Bicol police director, said that 9,592 policemen or 87 percent of the 11,000 police force in the region have been vaccinated with the China-made Sinovac and the British-made Astra Zeneca.
The PNP Regional Health Service data showed that of the 9,592 vaccinated policemen, 6,743 have been administered with the first dose while 2,849 policemen got their second jabs.
For the fully vaccinated cops, Albay had the biggest number with 886 followed by Camarines Sur (519), Sorsogon (421), Masbate (286), Camarines Norte (270), Naga City (79), and Catanduanes (59).
Some 7,130 cops in Albay had their first dose, followed by those in Camarines Sur (667), Camarines Norte (681), Catanduanes (679), Sorsogon (632), Masbate (854), and Naga City (633).
Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Police Bicol spokesperson, said a total of 435 Covid-19 cases among policemen were recorded since March last year. All of them had recovered.
