LEGAZPI CITY---The Provincial Government of Albay (PGA) through Albay Provincial Agricultural Office (APAO) launched the Go Green, Grow Green Albay Program (GGGGAP) on March 3, Friday at Albay Astrodome Legazpi City.

GGGGAP aims to guarantee food security, increase agricultural production, and eliminate hunger in the province.

The said program is in line with the national government’s Green Revolution Program in compliance with the Department of Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) Memorandum on Halina’t Magtanim ng Prutas at Gulay (HAPAG) sa Barangay project.

According to Albay Governor Atty. Edcel Grex Lagman, GGGGAP has two components which include food production and beautification to achieve its goal.

‘’By promoting agriculture and providing resources to our farmers, we can increase our food production and ensure that our communities have access to nutritious, locally grown food,’’ Gov. Lagman said.

‘’At the same time, by beautifying our barangays, we can create a more livable environment for our residents and visitors, while also promoting the protection of our natural resources,’’ he added.
