Annual Catechists' Day

Catechists from across the Archdiocese gathered at the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady Peñafrancia last October 15 for the annual Catechists' Day. Themed "Dangog (Listen): Synodal Journey for ONE Mission", the gathering focused on the teachings and reflections of Pope Leo's Magnifica Humanitas. Caceres Archbishop Rex Andrew Alarcon delivered the keynote while Caceres Archbishop Emeritus Rolando Tria Tirona, OCD celebrated the mass. In his homily, Tirona emphasized deepening one's relationship with God and called the catechists to uphold the truth in the midst of AI, as they pass on the faith to the next generation.
