Bioethical Conference on End-of-Life Care

NAGA CITY - Over 700 participants attended the Bioethical Conference on End-of-Life Care at the Universidad de Sta. Isabel Auditorium last Saturday, August 9. Rev. Fr. Nicanor Austriaco, OP gave the keynote address, highlighting the importance of prayer and spiritually preparing for the after life. The Conference also had Atty. Pio Martin Gerardo Borja, Dr. Shayne Calleja, Federico Lagdameo, JC Madrid, and Rev. Fr. William Santiago as the panel of reactors. Organized by the Tomasinong Bikolano, in partnership with the Archdiocese of Caceres through the Holy Rosary Major Seminary and the Universidad de Sta. Isabel, the Conference aims to provide dialogue regarding end-of-life care vis-a-vis the rich cultural background and religiosity of Filipinos. (Photos from Tomasinong Bikolano)
