‘Boy Asero’ apprehended with P41K worth of shabu in Pamplona

PAMPLONA, Camarines Sur --- Aligned with the Chief PNP’s tagline, “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman,” which underscores the commitment to ensuring peace and order, public safety, and security, the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office (CSPPO).


At around 8:45 PM on October 27, 2025, personnel of Pamplona Municipal Police Station (MPS), in coordination with PDEA ROV, conducted a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Veneracion, Pamplona, Camarines Sur, which resulted in the arrest of a Street Level Individual (SLI) identified as alias “Acero”, 28 years old, married, a laborer, and a resident of Pasacao, Camarines Sur.


The operation transpired after the suspect sold one (1) small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu (weighing approximately 0.08 gram, valued at P544.00) to an undercover police operative acting as poseur buyer.


A subsequent search of the suspect yielded the following items: One P500 bill (serial number MK078996) used as buy-bust money;


One small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing 0.06 gram (estimated value P408; and Two medium heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing approximately 6 grams, with an estimated market value of P40,800.


The confiscated illegal drugs have a total estimated weight of 6.14 grams and a market value of P41,752.


Marking and inventory of the seized evidence were conducted on-site in the presence of the suspect and the required insulating witnesses. The operation was properly documented using an approved Alternate Recording Device (ARD).


The arrested suspect was informed of his constitutional rights and brought to Pamplona MPS along with the confiscated evidence for documentation and proper disposition.


This accomplishment forms part of the Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) under the Focused Agenda of the Chief, PNP, PLTGen Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., highlighting the PNP’s strategic direction toward a drug-free, peaceful, and safer nation.


PBGen Nestor C. Babagay Jr., regional director, PRO5, commended the steadfast efforts of the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office, under the leadership of PCol. Virgilio O. Olalia Jr., in the continued campaign against illegal drugs.


Babagay emphasized that this vigilant and successful operation reflects the police force’s firm resolve to protect every Bicolano from the devastating effects of illegal drugs. He assured that PNP personnel will continue to pursue every lead, dismantle every network, and arrest every individual involved in this illicit trade.
