Bukas Palad to Lead Night of Worship and Music at Ateneo de Naga University

NAGA CITY — Get ready for an unforgettable evening of praise, worship, and music as Ateneo de Naga University presents “One More Gift: A Bukas Palad Charity Concert.” This special event features the renowned Bukas Palad Music Ministry alongside JesCom’s Fr. Manoling V. Francisco, S.J., and is scheduled on 5 September 2026, 6:00 PM at the Ateneo de Naga University Covered Courts (Main Campus).

Founded in 1986, Bukas Palad is a community of friends inspired by the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola. For nearly four decades, the group has been dedicated to composing, recording, and performing original Filipino liturgical and inspirational music. With a prolific catalog of over 300 original songs and 22 albums, they have solidified their status as one of the Philippines’ most influential Catholic music ministries.

Their music has become a staple in liturgical celebrations across the country and has been recorded by iconic Filipino artists such as Lea Salonga, Regine Velasquez, Gary Valenciano, and Basil Valdez. Attendees can look forward to hearing beloved classics such as I Will Sing Forever, Tanging Yaman, Hindi Kita Malilimutan, Sa ‘Yo Lamang, and Anima Christi. The ministry’s excellence has been recognized with numerous accolades, including several Catholic Mass Media Awards, Awit Awards, and Aliw Awards. Their mission continues to focus on inspiring prayer, faith, and hope through music, liturgical formation, and community outreach.

Beyond the concert, the event offers a unique opportunity for local musicians and choirs. A Bukas Palad Workshop will be held the following day, 6 September 2026 at ADNU’s Arrupe Convention Hall.
