Caceres celebrates Love for Mother Earth
In celebration of the 5th anniversary of the LAUDATO SI, the Archdiocese of Caceres hosted a series of activities to promote love and care for the environment. The culminating activity will be a mass with our beloved Archbishop Rolando Tirona on May 22, 2021.

The Laudato si’ is the second encyclical of Pope Francis. Published in June 2015, the encyclical has the subtitle “on care for our common home”. In it, the pope critiques consumerism and irresponsible development, laments environmental degradation and global warming, and calls all people of the world to take “swift and unified global action.”
Answering the call of Pope Francis to care for our common home. The Caritas Caceres Naga headed by Rev. Fr. Marc Real together with Rev. Fr. Eric Bobis of the Commission on Ecology of the Archdiocese of Caceres started the week long celebration of Laudato Si.
It started with Liturgy of Creation with Rev Fr. Eric Bobis as main celebrant. This was followed by tree planting and caring, and a symposium on Journey of Creation shared by Rev. Fr. Erwin Bismonte.
Among those who participated are from the Parishes of St. Francis of Assisi (Himaao), St. Raphael the Archangel (Pili) and Christ the King (Palestina). cccomnews
